Margo Jackson

GIS Technician

Margo joined Watershed Consulting with a background in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS), geospatial analysis, remote sensing, cartographic design, spatial data management, web mapping, and watershed educational programs. Margo earned her B.S. from the University of Vermont with a Bachelor of Science in Sustainability, Ecology, and Policy with a minor in Geospatial Technologies and a certificate in Place-Based Education. Margo is a FAA Part 107 Certified Remote Pilot.

Margo has experience in using UAS equipped with RGB, multispectral, thermal, and LiDAR sensors for spatial data collection, image processing, and GIS analysis on projects ranging from agricultural mapping to natural hazard assessment.

At Watershed Consulting, Margo specializes in spatial data collection, image processing, GIS analysis, and cartographic mapping related to water quality planning, monitoring, and modeling.

Protecting critical headwaters through floodplain restoration. Cabot’s Town Garage site was located in a headwater tributary’s historic floodplain.
