Ava Stackhouse
GIS Technician
Ava joined Watershed Consulting with a background in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS), geospatial analysis, remote sensing, statistical analysis, cartographic design, and environmental modeling and restoration investigations. Ava earned her B.S. from the University of Vermont in Environmental Science with a concentration in Global Environment and Climate Change and a minor in Geospatial Technologies.
Ava has experience in using UAS operations for the collection and processing of LiDAR/true color/multispectral data to create orthomosiacs and DEM/DSMs, generating drone-based photogrammetric stockpile volume estimates to support infrastructure planning, as well as deploying rapid response UAS operations following historical flooding to support post-disaster data collection and processing.
At Watershed Consulting, Ava specializes in spatial data collection, analysis, and mapping related to water quality planning, monitoring, and modeling.
