Watershed Consulting Associates with local partner Aldrich + Elliott have been selected to complete the Rugg Brook Flow Restoration Plan(FRP) for the City and Town of St. Albans under a grant managed by the Northwest Regional Planning Commission (NRPC). Rugg Brook is listed on the EPA impaired waters list, located primarily in the Town of St. Albans, and is subject to a flow-based Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) for stormwater. The project will involve the identification of stormwater retrofit opportunities, and the design and modeling analysis of the proposed retrofits. The purpose of the project is to develop a 20-year stormwater retrofit plan to reduce high stormwater flows and improve water quality. Watershed has a history of FRP work in the St. Albans area, and are excited to continue this important work with the St. Albans Community.
